I hope that this is not a weird musing to my readers.. Greetings Today while I was washing dishes at my client's home, I was thinking of traveling and thus made me think of the times that I have traveled myself in airports and just watched all sorts of people just walk by.. Or maybe seen some run fast to their gates, or seeing people on their cell phones walking wherever they need to go. I have heard all sorts of conversations (work,just chatting,or relaying travel information..) In those times I think so many people and all in the same place but we do not necessarily talk to one another or miost likely never see each other again.. we all live in this world yet we are so caught up in where we are going that we do not think we are all one kind!!!!!!

Hi All, I am so tired but good I suppose I need to go to bed but I just got home and so I checked my email and thought I would write a bit on here. I hope you are all well and may I wish you all a Merry Christmas a little early..I am thankful for you all and I hope that this Holiday will be one of joy and precious memories for you all.. Hi all The month of December is I think usually a busy one but fun.. I am sure that for some people though it is a hard month and they may be sad as they may have lost something or someone in the last year. If you are reading this and you are one of those who are grieving I want you to know that my prayers are with you and you are loved.. I have the opportunity to go to my church's staff Christmas Party tomorrow evening as I am a part of the staff.. I am really excited and I am wearing the bridesmaid dress that I wore at my sister's wedding five years ago!!!!!!

When the world is full of darkness all we have to do is reach out to the Lord and He will help... He is there we will not sink in the big pit of nothinness or whatever yours might be called Praise Him for all that He has done!!

Hello I was reassured last night that my blog WAS being read by people and that made me so glad, as at times I wonder if my blog has an audience.. Anyways I hope that you had a good Thanksgiving and that it was full of warmth and special moments. I along with my brother and family, went to Dallas to be with my aunt (my mum's sister) and my uncle and my cousins and their families as well as my Uncle side of the family. We totaled 24 people and 8 of us were kids..

FIRST of all thank you for reading this and I am so honored!! Second please pray for my papa who has laryngitis!! Third did you know that Robert Reed "Mr Brady" in the Tv series died at age 59 From AIDS? I did not know that he died second how so I suppose I am little sad... LW

Hi there all, The 2 pictures below are of me as I was hiking/climbing Turkey Roost which is a rock mountain at Enchanted Rock!! I cannot believe I did so well and I am so grateful to the Lord that I made it without my kneecap going out!! That would have been BAD and painful and made me feel bad on behalf of my friends!!!! I was blessed today to talk to both of my parents!! My dad is in Guinea and He has laryngitis!! He has to speak next week and so pray that he will heal before then!!

ENCHANTED ROCK is located close to Fredericksburg Texas!! It is a god made Rock mountain and it is steep in parts more than other but I climbed/hike to right below part of the very top.. it was for sure an adventure and I am impressed of myself that I was able to make it!! I am sore and stiff but I am glad that I was able to do so!! It is something indeed big for me as I am out of shape and I am so glad that my leg or rather kneecap did not come out.. LW

Hi all I know that it has been 12 days since I wrote anything!! WHere I wonder has the time gone? My mom has been here for about a week and that has been cool. IT is 10-9-07 What do you do when your heart is physically hurting from emotional stuff and even though you talk to God it does not ease fast enough? What would you do if you considered yourself sensitive to some things more than maybe other people!! I am open to any suggestions!!!!!!!!! LW

I saw a thing on Oprah about the children of 9-11 and I really it was sad just hearing them talk about their lives without their mom's or dad's. HI all As you know I was born in Italy and lived there for eight years.. Italians are very extraverted/relationship oriented people and I love that.. It is true that I was so young when I left so my personality did not really develop much but that was where I first saw outgoing people and I suppose that I started to love that.. Then I moved to Guinea and that is where I saw the African culture and loved that too. Like Italy, it is a very laid back way of life and it is very normal to have people contact people very spontaneously and maybe numerous times or staying for a long time at one's house.. to the Guinean people it is a blessing (giving, honoring) to people... yet in America it is different!! In America there is structure and people do not just show at people's homes without calling ahead or do not call people or email numerous times in a short span of time!! Hi All, It is now 6 days till my birthday and I am excited!!!!!!! I hope you know that in my 26 years almost 27 years that I have grown more into who the Lord wants me to be and even though I am continuing to being more of a woman who follows Him I am so blessed indeed by all of you who have loved me and cared for me and encouraged me etc. I hope that you all know how dear you all are to my heart!! and I am so grateful for each of you!!!! I have been indeed blessed by my Heavenly Father.. My path has been hard and rocky sometimes, but I know that God must have a plan as I am alive and I have proven many doctors wrong. Hello ALL I am pleased to say that my wood floors were in need of fixing up but now I have good hardwood floors!! I am happy and I am relieved to be back in my bed and not camping out in places. Hi all, I am so happy to announce that today is the day that my room gets emptied of all the big stuff (the small has already been cleared!!) and the carpet gets taken up. The landlords are hoping that the floor will be in good condition so they can clean it well and I can have wood floors I love that idea so I am excited!! Hi all This is not a story or anything but I wanted to ask you all for your prayers.. the last 2 days have been messy with my shower backing up and my house smelling like sewage.. I am sort of overwhelmed as my landlady had to have a guy tear up the carpet in my very small hallway because of yucky water and it it made its way to my room and under my dresser. needless to say I have had to clean up several messes which have not been to bad but today I saw the worst yet did not have to clean :) because of this my furniture in my room is all moved around and the cleaning chemical used was so stromng that it was suggested not to stay home tonight.... So I am at my neighbor's which is a 4 girl house and they all go to the same church and we get along very well.. we ae friends and they were very quick to let me stay with them!!

Hi I sort of promised a story and I am sorry that it has taken me awhile to to write one.. as I was writing about the RATS AND STICKS I thought of one that includes me on a chair and a little mouse running around so here I go... living in an African village for 9 years we saw plenty of mice. To make a long story short whenever we saw a mouse my job was to hop on a chair and yell there it is, no there etc.. while my dad and bro went around like crazy with brooms and sticks to kill it. Mice may be cute and small but they are rodents and have diseases.. Blessings, Laura

When I lived in the village we had small cute little mice (NOT CUTE) (another story) and then we had..... RATS not R.O.U.S (Rodents of unusual size) but they were certainly RATS!! Anyhow one of the good old times was watching young boys go after RATS and killing them.. These RATS would have these nice deep holes and so they had to be forced out of the hole! The boys were clever and so they would have a big bucket of water and pour that into the hole. There were always a group of the boys that had sticks whatever they could gather and when the RAT came rushing out they would proceed to beat It and chase it if need be.. When the RAT was deceased they would burn the hair off and clean it and in the very end eat it Happy RAT hunting!! :) Laura

Hi I know I am jumping right out but here goes anyways-- I have just finished a storm of sobbing due to many things pain from my hitting my arm on the door maybe? I am sure hormones!! pain from emotional struggles that I am having... I do know why there is pain and junk.. Someone once said no matter what pain we face Jesus' was greater which I am sure is true!! We may not like to see it but it is there and we have to learn how to deal with.. Or better yet let God deal with it!!!!!!!!!! it may be a hard road but worth it I am sure!!! what do you do when it hurts so much? please tell me!!!!!!

Hi all I am so glad tonight as I have been talking with a good from the DTS I took in East TX!! She is coming down from NC in October for a cousins wedding HERE IN WACO!! and believe it or not her cousin is a friend of mine how random is this: moving to a new city finding a new church just randomly geting a ride from a stranger to home group and her being my friend's cousin form NC? well that is exactly is what happened!! I also get to1 travel sept 28 thanks to a v ery generous gift!! to Oklohoma where a DTS friend is getting married. that is so cool and I am so excited because not only will I see the bride but also 2 roomates also from DTS and some friends from Abilene they were my college leaders!!! all these dear people I have not seen in a couple years so I am sure it will so sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi I just wanted to offer a few lines, about the fact that I have just worked 8 hours straight which was needed and good, but tiring!! Ladies and Gentlemen I am announcing that today was my 1st day working at my church as a janitor and it was a good day!! Praise the Lord. I am so happy that it went well and I have a good boss. As the title stated today was a good day. It was for sure busy but good. I got up earlier than normal and had my 1st cup of coffee and realized that I enjoyed just sitting there even there for a minute knowing that I did not have to rush like crazy to be ready. See normally I just wait as long as I can before I get up and get ready and start the day... I got to church and went to my classroom and started to set up.. For those of who do not know I am the teacher for the older 2's every Sunday 9 am service. My church has 2 services and I love it so very much.. Lately in my class it has had a pretty calm feeling but today it was odd it just seemed crazy!! not the 17 kids :) We had were wild but it was just a crazy feeling.. and then after class I went to the 11 am service and then went straight to work!! I worked 4 hours and then went to a friend's home and painted corners and then came home cleaned up and felt so much better and vegged all eveninbg long. So that was nice.. It is

Ok I know that it is 2 minutes till midnight and I am hoping you have all slept well. I, on Thursday evening watched Hotel Rwanda!! I normally do not watch these type of movies because my heart cannot take it, but I must admit that I watched most of it. I did leave the TV between commercials and I am thinking, I missed some of the more violent parts.. It is indeed a violent movie and intense. It makes my heart break to see it and see what people went through. Oh my heart bled for the people and for Africa. Sure it may not be as bad in other parts of Africa as it was in Rwanda but things have been very bad in other places and countries are still trying to recuperate!! It is how sad that africa is so poor and needy. Forgive me for a rant but of I had to get it off my chest....I love Africa. Blessings Laura

Hi all Just wanted to say good night it is very late. Please pray for me.. my kneecap went out of place this afternoon and it was very painful.. I have had this happen before yet sometimes it is not that painful as today was. I still timid with it so I hope by tomorrow it will back to normal!! then tonight I was walking to the store with my neighbor and it was dark and I did not see a step and my ankle on my other leg just rolled so I fell again..I am drinking some mint tea to soothe me down,and fixing to close my eyes I am sure it will be lovely.. Well low and behold it has happened!! Some of you may know this, and for those who don't know I am sorry, I have had a history of my kneecap going out of place and thus being very painful and usually causing me to fall. Well today it has happened, while I was working I fell and it was extremely painful!! so my client's daughter bless her heart, gave me some Advil that made me sick as I did not have anything on my stomach.. On Sunday I heard a very good message at church and I did enjoy my day. It was a good emotional day somehow thanks be to Him.. Here is what I wanted to say. I am and was so reminded that the Lord loves me and that He has and does remove my bonds and chains I am so grateful!! I encourage all by saying that He loves us all!!!!!!!!!! We are not worthy of Him and yet He loves us and died for us!!He cares for us all no matter how tall or big we are!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who are we to walk turn away from Him? Laura

I am so happy to announce that I am going to SWIM tomorrow night!! I do not know why I am so happy yet I am.. I hope that you all have the chance to swim it is so nice and relaxing!! ahhhhh Please pray for me.. Today I learned 2 things one was that today was my last day on one assignment the poor dear was so sad!! Then late tonight I learned that after july 8th I am done with the other assignment as well so pray that the Lord will give me another assignment!!! Blessings Laura

I am so thankful to the Lord today as I have had such a nice day!! I hope that you all will rejoice with me in the day that the Lord has made. Last night was a very special day in our family. For the last three years My sister in law has been doing her residency here in Waco and yesterday was her last day!!!!!!!! The residency program always has a ceremony for the outgoing residents. and it was so special to see her go up there and get her certificate I will post pictures when I get a chance..
