LIfe in Africa with Rats

When I lived in the village we had small cute
little mice (NOT CUTE) (another story) and
then we had..... RATS not R.O.U.S (Rodents
of unusual size) but they were certainly RATS!!
Anyhow one of the good old times was watching
young boys go after RATS and killing them..
These RATS would have these nice deep holes
and so they had to be forced out of the hole!
The boys were clever and so they would have
a big bucket of water and pour that into the
hole. There were always a group of the boys that
had sticks whatever they could gather and when
the RAT came rushing out they would proceed to
beat It and chase it if need be.. When the RAT was
deceased they would burn the hair off and clean it
and in the very end eat it

Great start! I'd like to know more about your daily life in Africa. What kinds of foods did you eat? What was your schooling like? How was your life similar to or different from the African children's? Parles-tu francais maintenant? Il faut pratique, non?

Hello friends, Time has flown by and I have not written since July 2008. I, at times just get busy as we all get.. but rest assured that I carry you all in my heart.. I do apologize though for the gap of time and I indeed have not fallen off the face of the earth :) For those of you near and far I just to wish to update you on my life and my family.. I am still at the church working 2 days a week cleaning the rooms... I also help with childcare pretty regularly.. The kids are indeed so precious I usually help with the preschool age and they are fun.. The times I have watched babies have also been fun and sweet as they melt my heart.. MY BIRTHDAY

Hello All Monday is my birthday!!!!!! I am turning 29!!!!! its between 28 and 30!! I am getting old!! I hope you have a good week!!!! Laura By the Way I have now worked approximately 42 hours at my new job (I am working for a cleaning company I help clean houses and the middle school in the small town I am in..) and it going well..
