Happy New Year

Happy New Year!! I hope that the first 12 days of January 2019 have been sweet. Life is hard sometimes and things do happen that may rock your world, But I am so thankful that God is our rock and that He has us in His Hands. I am a firm believer in encouragement and wanting to show encouragement daily. I believe that God instilled this gift in me and I truly enjoy trying to encourage others. There are many topics that we could cover and I am open to suggestions.. I hope that these posts, will bring joy to read and comment on. Loss

A month and three days since my world was rocked. Today brings the finality as I watched my home be crunched and eventually levelled into nothing. After being there 9 years it does feel odd see that there is no house. There is just dirt. As inwatched my house be levelled I was reminded just how quickly everything can be destroyed. LIfe in Africa with Rats

When I lived in the village we had small cute little mice (NOT CUTE) (another story) and then we had..... RATS not R.O.U.S (Rodents of unusual size) but they were certainly RATS!! Anyhow one of the good old times was watching young boys go after RATS and killing them.. These RATS would have these nice deep holes and so they had to be forced out of the hole! The boys were clever and so they would have a big bucket of water and pour that into the hole. There were always a group of the boys that had sticks whatever they could gather and when the RAT came rushing out they would proceed to beat It and chase it if need be.. When the RAT was deceased they would burn the hair off and clean it and in the very end eat it Happy RAT hunting!! :) Laura

MY BIRTHDAY

Hello All Monday is my birthday!!!!!! I am turning 29!!!!! its between 28 and 30!! I am getting old!! I hope you have a good week!!!! Laura By the Way I have now worked approximately 42 hours at my new job (I am working for a cleaning company I help clean houses and the middle school in the small town I am in..) and it going well.. I am tired but its good... so anyhow I am going back to bed I woke up and my arm was asleep and so I had to move it around!! hehe
