EAGLES
Who has ever had hard times in your life? Was it
expected or unexpected? I will safely guess at
least at some point in your life everyone has
had some sort of hard time. Was it fun? Could
you rejoice in it? Was it easy to talk to God in
it? Do you have it figured out? I know I don't.
Depending on the type of person you are, difficult
times can be excruciating in various levels depending
what you are going through. Do you shut yourself away?
DO you seek others to make you feel better? DO you look
to God? Do you vent or hold it in? Do you let it boil out
lashing at those around you? Whatever you might face or
feel, God is the one constant take comfort you are not
ALONE!
Last Sunday my church participated in a revival and our
speaker spoke on Eagles and how their way of doing things
can be applicable to ourselves. He discussed some ways that
eagles live their lives and how their ways can be compared
to ours. Eagles are birds of the air and in a sense carefree
of issues on the ground. When there is trouble on land they
just have to look high in the air and take off. Of course
we can't do that but we can look to our Father in Heaven
for help. I wish I could be like the eagle.
Our speaker encouraged us to look up to God for comfort and
not down. There are so many that are looking for the "FIX"
for all their issues but are looking in the wrong spot. In
the end, the "FIX" ends up bringing more problems.
One point that he spoke of is that eagles are not Jealous.
We as a human race can be so jealous of each other it is a
powerful weapon the enemy uses to hurt us individually and
as one body. We are all different and we should be confident
in this. I'ts not an easy thing to do, I know!! I would say
that the soul does not grow in pure love if it has jealousy
therein. The church body can be compared to a human body, we
all have different gifts that we excel at and God needs them
all. If we all excel at one thing how would work? It wouldn't!!
Blessings
Laura.
